Lil Nas X responds to religious protest by offering pizza to attendees

Rapper Lil Nas X responded to a demonstration outside his concert in Boston by offering pizza to the protesters.

The story was told by the artist himself, in a video shared on social media. “I had some people protesting outside my concert last night,” he said, referring to what happened last Sunday. “So I sent them pizza.”

In the video, the participants in the protest, apparently members of a religious congregation, outraged at the rapper’s homosexuality, are seen declining the food.

Musicizing the video with ‘Mystery of Love’ by Sufjan Stevens, Lil Nas X further joked “Unfortunately, one of the homophobes was very attractive. I accidentally fell in love with one of the homophobic protesters.”
