The 10 most influential black artists ever

Radio X in the United Kingdom has drawn up a list of what they consider to be the 10 most influential black artists in the history of music.

The list, part of the Black History Month celebrations in that country, counts with well known names of the great public – like Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix – besides some surprises.

The big highlight is the presence of bluesman Muddy Waters in first place, an influence for artists like the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin or Eric Clapton.
